GOP Senator Suggests Mosque will be Election Issue
WASHINGTON – The Republican senator suggested there could be political fallout from the comments President Barack Obama on the construction of a mosque near the site of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City.
Texas Sen. John Cornyn (KOHR ‘- nihn) says Obama is “cut off from mainstream America,” and that voters in the fall of this year will “make their decision.” Cornyn leads to the Republican Party campaign committee of the Senate.
