Israel Finds Rare 2,200-year-old Gold Coin
ERUSALEM – Archaeologists say they have the heaviest and most valuable gold coins ever found discovered in Israel.
The 2200-year-old coin weighs one ounce (28 grams) and is available on the website Tel Kedesh near the Lebanese border on June 22, according to Wednesday’s statement from the Antiquities Authority.
